LPA4 (GPR23) is lysophosphatidic acid receptor that is distantly related to the Edg family of receptors. It is expressed in significant abundance in ovary. When stimulated with LPA, this cell line showed a robust increase in intracellular calcium mobilization, whereas wild-type HEK293 cells show only a small response at very high concentrations of LPA.
