Human NMUR1 Stable Cell Line-CHO-K1

Neuromedin U (NMU) receptors are a group of Gq/11-protein-coupled receptors that are currently divided intotwo subtypes; NMU1 and NMU2. The two subtypes have distinct tissue distributions; NMU1 is expressed in theperiphery (especially in the gastrointestinal tract), whilst NMU2 is expressed in the central nervous system(especially in the substantia nigra, medulla oblongata and pontine reticular formation). NMU receptorsmediate diverse biological effects including contraction of the uterus, peripheral vasoconstriction causinghypertension and activation of the HPA axis resulting in decreased food intake via the CRH system.
